Week 7 shook up the top of the polls, and the SEC took plenty of the damage. That leaves the conference with three Saturday games on ABC that matter for the standings: No. 7 Ole Miss at No. 19 Texas, No. 18 LSU at Auburn, and Texas A&M at Alabama.

The biggest result was Auburn's 27-24 upset of top-ranked Georgia. In his AP ballot for On3, Brett McMurphy noted that the loss ended Georgia's 53-game winning streak against unranked opponents, the longest active run in the country. He also pointed out that Georgia outgained Auburn by nearly 100 yards but turned it over three times, including a Gunner Stockton fumble that set up the winning field goal. McMurphy wrote that eight ranked teams lost over the weekend, five of them in the top seven. He dropped Georgia to No. 3 and moved Ole Miss up to No. 5 after its 31-3 win over Missouri, in which Trinidad Chambliss threw three touchdown passes.

Alabama dropped too. McMurphy has the Crimson Tide at No. 13 after a 26-10 loss at Tennessee, where they managed 201 yards and turned it over four times. Texas fell to No. 15 on his ballot after losing 27-24 at home to Florida, and Florida came onto it at No. 23. Georgia and Florida both have the week off before they meet on October 31.

What it means for Saturday

Texas has the shakier recent form of Saturday's two ranked teams. The Longhorns are 4-2 and have lost two in a row by three points each, to Oklahoma and Florida, after a 4-0 start that included a one-point win over Ohio State. Ole Miss is 5-1, and its only loss came 52-28 at Florida. The Rebels have since beaten Vanderbilt and Missouri by a combined 83-20. Even so, the board has Texas favored at home. Novig has the Longhorns at -144 on the moneyline and Ole Miss at +135, and Pinnacle's +140 is the best Rebels price at any of the 12 venues. The spread is 3.5 points nearly everywhere. Novig and most of the field have the total at 52.5, while Pinnacle sits half a point lower at 52.

LSU comes to Auburn at 5-2 after shutting out Mississippi State 31-0. Its two losses came by a combined nine points, at Ole Miss and at Kentucky. Auburn is 4-2 and has won its last two home games by a combined nine points, but it also lost at Tennessee, 24-14. The LSU-Auburn market has the visitors favored at -285 on Novig, with Auburn at +270. The venues split the spread across a point and a half: Novig has LSU at -8.5, Hard Rock Bet has -7.5, and Pinnacle offers Auburn +9. Totals range from 49.5 at BetMGM to 50.5 at Novig.

Alabama is 5-2 and has lost two straight, by three points to Georgia and then at Tennessee. Even so, the Tide are the clearest favorite of the three. Texas A&M at Alabama shows Alabama at -567 on Novig, with Kalshi close behind at -564. Texas A&M's best price is Kalshi's +529, against Novig's +506. Novig lists the spread at 14.5, and Hard Rock Bet gives the Aggies an extra point at +15.5. The total is 50.5.
