No. 2 Georgia starts its November run under the lights in Oxford. The Bulldogs play No. 12 Ole Miss at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and ABC has the game. The Athens Banner-Herald reports that it can also be streamed on Fubo. Georgia Athletics announced the kickoff window on Oct. 26.

Both teams come in off convincing wins. Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) held Florida to a single touchdown in a 27-8 win in Atlanta. Linebacker Chris Cole credited the bye week before that game, telling the Banner-Herald the defense had worked on "our tackling, our communication." Ole Miss (6-2, 4-2) beat Auburn 45-15 at home that same afternoon.

This is the fifth meeting between the programs in a little over three seasons. As UGA Wire notes, Georgia beat the Rebels twice in Athens. Ole Miss won in Oxford in 2024 and again in the Sugar Bowl quarterfinal of the College Football Playoff on Jan. 1, 39-34. Last season's regular-season game went to Georgia, 43-35. Kirby Smart is 2-3 against Ole Miss as Georgia's coach and has yet to win in Oxford. UGA Wire also points out that a third loss could knock the Rebels out of the playoff conversation.

What it means for Saturday

Georgia's record looks steady, but the margins have been closer against good teams. Since routing Oklahoma and Vanderbilt, the Bulldogs won 20-17 at Alabama and lost 27-24 at home to Auburn before handling Florida. Ole Miss beat that same Auburn team by 30 last week. The Rebels' two losses both came away from Oxford: 52-28 at Florida and 34-27 at Texas. At home they are unbeaten, with wins over Louisville, LSU and Missouri.

The common opponents send mixed signals. Georgia beat Florida by 19, while Ole Miss lost there by 24. But Auburn beat Georgia and was routed by the Rebels. Both teams also beat Vanderbilt comfortably.

The markets have Georgia favored by a field goal and a hook. On Novig, one of the 12 venues on this site's board for the game, Georgia is -163 on the moneyline and Ole Miss is +156. Georgia is -3.5 at even money (-100), and Ole Miss +3.5 is priced at -104. The total is 56.5, with the over at -104 and the under at -102.

Those numbers imply roughly a 61 percent chance of a Georgia win once the margin is removed. Novig's two moneyline sides add up to about 101 percent, so its built-in margin is close to 1 percent. The sportsbooks on the board carry a hold of 3.5 to 6.3 percent on the moneyline, 3.8 to 7.0 percent on the spread and 4.3 to 6.8 percent on the total. Across the sportsbooks, most of the difference is in how much margin each one builds in, while the read on who should win is close to the same: a slight road favorite against a team that has not lost at home this year.

The last three games in this series were decided by eight points or fewer. A 3.5-point spread suggests the venues expect Saturday's game to be close as well.
