Georgia vs. Florida gets ESPN's top crew as Fowler and Herbstreit head to Atlanta
ESPN sends Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit to call No. 3 Georgia against No. 17 Florida on ABC at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Atlanta.

ESPN is sending its lead broadcast team to Atlanta. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call No. 3 Georgia against No. 17 Florida on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, according to Georgia Bulldogs On SI. Holly Rowe will work the sideline, Georgia Athletics confirmed in its game notes.
The assignment breaks from the crew's usual routine. Fowler and Herbstreit normally take ABC's night window, but the rivalry kept its traditional afternoon slot and Miami-North Carolina got prime time, so Disney moved its top pair to the earlier game. Georgia Bulldogs On SI's Dean Legge pointed out that the duo has called a long list of big Georgia games, among them all three of the Bulldogs' national title game appearances, the 2018 Rose Bowl overtime win over Oklahoma, and this season's 20-17 win at Alabama. Disney also announced that the game will air in 4K and stream as a 180-degree immersive feed on Meta Quest, and that Georgia's later trip to Ole Miss will kick off in prime time on ABC.
The venue is new too. With EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville under renovation, this year's game moves to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with Georgia listed as the home team, and next year's goes to Tampa. The series returns to the St. Johns River in 2028. Georgia leads the all-time series 58-44-2, per the school's notes, and both teams come in off an open date. Sic 'Em Dawgs also reported the Fowler, Herbstreit and Rowe crew ahead of Kirby Smart's Monday press conference.
What it means for Saturday
Georgia is 6-1 (4-1 SEC), but its last game was its first loss, a 27-24 home defeat to Auburn. That came a week after the three-point escape in Tuscaloosa. The Bulldogs are averaging 43 points a game, a number inflated by early wins over Tennessee State, Western Kentucky and Arkansas. In their last two SEC games they scored 44 points combined. Their defense has held up all season, allowing about 15.9 points a game.
Florida is 5-2 (3-2 SEC) and hard to read. The Gators beat No. 4 Ole Miss 52-28 and won 27-24 at No. 7 Texas in their most recent game. In between they lost 45-17 at Missouri and 38-19 at home to South Carolina. They score close to 40 a game, but they also give up about 28.
The board still has Georgia as a clear choice. The Bulldogs are favored by 11.5 points, priced at -108 on Novig, and are -388 on the moneyline there. That matches the best price anywhere: Polymarket also lists Georgia at -388, a gap of two cents per $100. Florida is +376 on Novig to win outright. The venues split on the total. Novig has 56.5, with the over at +102 and the under at -113. BetMGM has the best over price at 55.5 (-108), and Hard Rock Bet has the best under at 56.5 (-110). Sportsbook hold across the 12 venues runs from 3.6% to 6.2% on the moneyline. The full board is on the game odds page.
Georgia's offense has slowed in its last two SEC games, and Florida has already won two games this season against top-10 opponents.
