Sellers accounts for five touchdowns as South Carolina routs Oklahoma 42-25 in Norman
LaNorris Sellers threw for 301 yards and ran for 96 as South Carolina won its third straight, leaving Oklahoma at 4-4 before a trip to No. 17 Florida.

LaNorris Sellers had 397 total yards and five touchdowns Saturday, and South Carolina beat Oklahoma 42-25 in Norman. It was the Gamecocks' third straight win, and it came against a defense that had been one of the best in the country.
The junior quarterback opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 15-yard touchdown run. He finished 19 of 24 for a season-high 301 yards with three touchdown passes and two interceptions, and he added 96 rushing yards and two scores on 13 carries, ClutchPoints reported. Two of the passing scores were long ones: an 84-yard throw to DJ Black on third-and-12 and a 79-yard catch-and-run by Mazeo Bennett Jr. Nyck Harbor also caught a touchdown pass before halftime, when South Carolina led 28-10. ClutchPoints noted that Sellers had already moved up to No. 4 in its 2027 quarterback draft rankings, and this game will add to the first-round case.
Oklahoma came in 11th nationally in total defense and had not allowed more than 382 yards in any game. South Carolina put up 307 yards in the first half alone, while Oklahoma managed 71, and the Gamecocks finished with 521. Sooners Wire cited Pro Football Focus figures showing 24 missed tackles and only 10 pressures by Oklahoma. John Williams of that outlet wrote that "South Carolina could have beaten Oklahoma by 50." Seven of the Sooners' points came on Kip Lewis' 30-yard interception return, which tied the game at 7.
Oklahoma's offense was the bigger problem again. John Mateer was 10 of 18 for 44 yards through three quarters. He finished with 244 passing yards, and both of his touchdown passes went to Ivan Carreon in the fourth quarter, after the game was decided. The Associated Press reported that the Sooners had 118 yards and 10 points through three quarters.
