Georgia is favored by 3.5 points at No. 10 Ole Miss on Saturday, November 7. On Novig, one of 11 venues on this site's board, Georgia -3.5 is priced at -104 and Ole Miss +3.5 at -102. The moneyline has Georgia favored at -167 and Ole Miss at +156. The total sits at 56.5. The game airs on ABC.

Our Georgia team page is the full guide to the Bulldogs' season. This story covers what has changed this week: the price for Oxford, what the board says about the matchup, and where Georgia's record leaves its season win count heading into the last month.

Where the number sits

The spread is close to a field goal, and the books don't fully agree on it. Most venues have Georgia at -3.5. BetRivers has the best price on the underdog side, Ole Miss +4 at -114. A half-point gap around 3 and 4 matters in a game where both teams are expected to score. Sportsbook hold on the spread runs from 4.3% to 7.0%, depending on the venue.

On the moneyline, -167 implies Georgia wins about 62.5% of the time before the margin is taken out. Ole Miss at +156 implies about 39%. The total of 56.5 is priced at -108 for the over and -100 for the under on Novig, so the market leans slightly toward points. For comparison, Georgia's two most recent games produced 51 and 35 total points.

How Georgia got to 7-1

According to ESPN season results, Georgia's one loss was 27-24 at home to Auburn. That game came right after the season's signature win, 20-17 at then-No. 6 Alabama. The Bulldogs bounced back last week by beating No. 17 Florida 27-8. It was the defense's best performance against a ranked opponent this season.

The early schedule was lopsided. Georgia beat Tennessee State 63-3 and Western Kentucky 70-20, then won 45-17 at Arkansas, 41-13 against Oklahoma and 38-14 against Vanderbilt. Since then the scoring has dropped. Georgia has scored 20, 24 and 27 points in its three games against the toughest opponents. That helps explain why the spread for a road game against a top-10 team is only 3.5.

What the win count looks like now

The win total question has mostly been answered by the results. At 7-1 with a standard 12-game regular season, Georgia has four games left, starting with Oxford. The most it can finish with is 11-1. A loss to Ole Miss would put the Bulldogs at 7-2, with no more room for mistakes in the race for an SEC Championship Game spot or a College Football Playoff bid.

Ole Miss is the toughest test left on the road. Being favored at -167 is a fair summary of how the market sees Georgia's November: the stronger team, but not by much. The team page has the rest of the schedule along with full results.

What to watch Saturday

The most important matchup is Georgia's offense against an Ole Miss team ranked 10th. The Bulldogs have had trouble scoring against strong defenses. Their defense has allowed 17 points or fewer in four of eight games. If it holds again, a total of 56.5 will look high. If Ole Miss forces a shootout, the 3.5-point spread puts Georgia's margin for error at a single possession.
