Kentucky Sports Radio heads to Norman as No. 15 Kentucky readies for Oklahoma
KSR's hosts leave for Norman on Wednesday after Kentucky's overtime upset of LSU. Oklahoma is favored by 6.5 over the 5-1 Wildcats on Saturday.

Kentucky's road trip to Oklahoma is starting early for the program's best-known radio show. Matt Jones, Ryan Lemond and Mario Maitland will drive out of Lexington on Wednesday morning, bound for Norman, and plan to broadcast from stops along the way, On3's Drew Franklin reported on Tuesday.
That leaves Tuesday as the last show of the week with the full Kentucky Sports Radio crew in Lexington. According to On3, the hosts planned to keep working through the weekend win, including material they didn't get to on Monday. They also planned to react to where Kentucky basketball landed in the preseason SEC poll.
The weekend gave them plenty to cover. Kentucky beat No. 10 LSU in overtime Saturday night at Kroger Field, a primetime upset that On3's coverage says is still landing with recruits who were in Lexington for the game. The win moved the Wildcats to 5-1 at the midpoint of the season, and they are now ranked 15th. Head coach Will Stein's aggressive two-point decisions have drawn national attention along the way.
The road crew's destination tells you this week's stakes. No. 15 Kentucky visits Oklahoma on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on SEC Network. The Sooners are 3-2, but the market isn't treating this as a game between a ranked team and a struggling one. Oklahoma is favored by 6.5 points, and the total is 44.5. On Novig, one of the venues pricing the game, Oklahoma is -228 to win outright. The best sportsbook price on the Sooners is FanDuel's -245. Current numbers are on the Kentucky at Oklahoma game page.
The gap between the records and the price is the main question of the week. Kentucky has the better record, the ranking and the momentum of a signature win. Oklahoma has home field and a line that suggests the market still rates the Sooners above their record. A total in the mid-40s points to a game expected to be decided by field position and a handful of possessions, not a shootout.
The Wildcats also have to handle the emotional comedown. Upsets like the one over LSU are often followed by a flat week, and a trip to Norman is a hard place to have one. A win would give Kentucky six wins with half the season still left and keep it in the SEC race. A loss would leave the LSU result as a high point rather than a turning point.
KSR fans can expect road-trip shows through the back half of the week, with the hosts arriving in Norman ahead of Saturday night's kickoff.
