Two former Missouri players reached NFL firsts on Sunday. Green Bay linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper made his first regular-season interception, and Miami rookie receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. caught his first professional touchdown pass.

On3's MizzouToday reported that Hopper's pick came during the Packers' 31-7 win over Chicago. The Bears faced fourth-and-goal from the 10, and third-string quarterback Case Keenum was pressured from his blind side. He threw a weak pass off his back foot. Hopper stepped in front of it at the front of the end zone and returned it 20 yards. The linebacker had already made his first NFL interception against Chicago in last season's playoffs. He finished Sunday with two tackles and a pass defended. Rookie defensive tackle Chris McClellan, another former Tiger, had a quarterback hit for Green Bay.

On the other side of that game, second-year Bears receiver Luther Burden III led Chicago with 47 receiving yards. He caught four of the six passes thrown his way and added four carries for two yards.

Coleman, a fifth-round pick in 2026, scored on a 3-yard catch in the fourth quarter of Miami's 31-24 loss to Cincinnati. He was targeted seven times and caught three passes for 30 yards, with a long of 23. He also returned a kickoff 28 yards and made a tackle after a Malik Willis interception. According to On3, the Dolphins waived backup quarterback Brady Cook, also a former Missouri player, on Saturday.

Several other former Tigers played meaningful roles. Tampa Bay rookie linebacker Josiah Trotter had seven tackles, one for loss, in the Buccaneers' Thursday night win over Dallas. Denver cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine had three tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup in the Broncos' 23-17 win over the Chargers. Detroit's Darius Robinson had two quarterback hits in a 45-21 win over Arizona. Indianapolis linebacker Jaylon Carlies did not play in the Colts' 34-22 loss to Pittsburgh because of a rib injury he suffered the previous week.

It was a hard night for kicker Harrison Mevis. In Monday night's 37-34 overtime loss to Buffalo, he missed a 50-yard attempt wide left in the first quarter, and his potential game-winning kick in overtime was blocked. On3 reported that he went 0-for-2 on field goals while making all four extra points, and that he is 5-for-9 on field goals this season for Los Angeles.

The current Missouri team faces one of its biggest tests of the season this week. The No. 13 Tigers (5-1) travel to No. 9 Ole Miss (4-1) on Saturday, Oct. 17. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. EDT on SEC Network. The game is an early chance for the winner to establish itself in the SEC race and a ranked road win Missouri can point to later in the season.

The market has the Rebels as clear favorites. Ole Miss is favored at -194 on Novig, one of the venues listing the game, and FanDuel's best price on the Rebels is -205. Ole Miss is favored by 5.5 points, and the total is 59.5. Full pricing is on the game page.
