Texas has moved wide receiver Kaliq Lockett from doubtful to out for Saturday's home game against Florida, Texas Longhorns On SI reported from the latest SEC availability report. The same report had better news up front. Offensive lineman Jordan Coleman missed the Oklahoma game and has been upgraded to probable. Defensive lineman Justus Terry is also listed as probable, and offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman remains out.

Losing Lockett does little to the Longhorns' plans on game day. He came into the season as a possible breakout player after catching a go-ahead touchdown in last season's Citrus Bowl win over Michigan. Instead he has barely played, and On SI counts one catch for minus-3 yards. Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo and Emmett Mosley V lead the receiver room, and Jermaine Bishop Jr., Daylan McCutcheon and Sterling Berkhalter were already ahead of Lockett in the competition for snaps behind them.

Florida's list is the one with real uncertainty. Quarterback Aaron Philo and receivers Vernell Brown III and Bailey Stockton are all questionable and expected to be game-time decisions, and running back Duke Clark is out. 247Sports reported that an undisclosed injury has limited Philo in practice. He has completed 70.5 percent of his passes for 1,341 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. If he can't play, sophomore Tramell Jones Jr. would make the start.

What it means for Saturday

Both teams are coming off losses. Texas is 4-1 and still has wins over Ohio State (24-23) and at Tennessee (20-17), but it lost 27-24 to Oklahoma last week. Florida opened 4-0, including a 52-28 win over Ole Miss, and has since lost 45-17 at Missouri and 38-19 at home to South Carolina.

The matchup has a clear story. CBS Sports notes that Florida ranks last in the SEC in total defense, pass defense and explosive plays allowed. Arch Manning has four touchdown passes and four interceptions against Power Four opponents and has been sacked 12 times, according to CBS. The Gators also have to block Colin Simmons, who leads the country with 9.5 sacks. Brad Crawford of CBS sees Saturday as a chance for the Texas passing game to get back on track. Texas also has last season's loss in Gainesville to answer for, a result CBS says kept the Longhorns out of the College Football Playoff.

On this site's board, Texas is a clear favorite across 11 venues. Novig has the Longhorns at -388 on the moneyline and Florida at +376. On the spread, Novig lists Texas -11.5 at +102. BetMGM has the best price anywhere on the Texas side at -11, priced at -108. That half point is the only real gap between venues. CBS's pick used Texas -10.5, so the number has crept up. The total sits at 51.5 at Novig, with the over at -104 and the under at -100. BetRivers has the under at 52 for -117. Sportsbook hold runs from 4.2 to 6.1 percent on the moneyline and from 3.5 to 6.7 percent on the spread.

Kickoff in Austin is set for 11 a.m. CT on ABC. With Coleman likely back on the line and Lockett's absence unlikely to change the receiver rotation, Texas should be close to full strength. Philo's status is the biggest open question before kickoff.
